Upcoming Rotaract Car Wash Benefits Local and Global Causes
Rotaract of the Palouse is having a car wash and hot dog feed this Saturday, Sept. 12, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Tyler Kelly Motors lot in Moscow.
Proceeds from the car wash and hot dog feed will be split between Rotaract of the Palouse, and the Pullman Rotaract. The Pullman Rotaract is currently raising money to build a house in Uganda for a family that is currently living in condemned housing. Many branches of Rotaract in the region are raising money to assist in their efforts for the Ugandan family, said Rotaract of the Palouse president Tom Lynch.
Fundraising events like this help sponsor Rotaract and its’ causes. Rotaract is a Rotary-sponsored service club, for young people aged 18 to 30. Rotaract of the Palouse meets every second and fourth Tuesday of the month at 6 p.m. in the Gritman Medical Center Café.
“Rotaract channels and amplifies the energy I have for contributing to my community along with the talents and energy of others in a way that's more impactful than any one of us could do on our own,” said Rotaract member and Lewiston resident Matt Weibler.

What is Rotaract?
Rotaract is a Rotary-sponsored service club for young men and women ages 18 to 30. Rotaract clubs are either community or university based, and they’re sponsored by a local Rotary club. This makes them true "partners in service" and key members of the family of Rotary.
As one of Rotary’s most significant and fastest-growing service programs, with more than 7,000 clubs in about 163 countries and geographical areas, Rotaract has become a worldwide phenomenon.
